The past ten days have been awesome! Tom and Nina, and Jason and Candice came to visit us and we have been busy taking them to all the cool places around. The guys waisted no time at all and went straight to the XBox for some brotherly bonding. The main reason they came to Richmond was for M

att's White Coat Ceremony for Dental School. The ceremony was in a
small auditorium. Many people had to stand or find alternative places to sit, like Jason and Candic

e who sat on the floor. (you guys are great!) The ceremony was good and short. There was an interesting presentation by one of the alumni who practices in a small town in Virginia. His whole slide presentation was about his small town and how great it is to have all these fabulous things only minutes from his beautiful house (but he wasn't trying to tell the dent

al students to move to his town, just to get them thinking about small town practice...right...). He went on with his 250 slide power point that also included pictures of his family and neighbors. I wonder if that was the presentation the school had in mind. Then

each student was coated by a professor or someone in the dental field. The students stood up and read the Dental Oath. And then the dental hygeine students did the same

thing. It was great to see Matt in his white coat, looking so official. I am so proud of him and how far he has come. He'll be a dentist before we know it.
