We have another niece!

Sophie was born on February 19th to Daniel and Jessica. She was 6 lbs 2 oz and 18 inches long. We wish Daniel and Jessica the best in their new adventure. She is darling. I bet she looks even more adorable in person. Thanks Ann for the picture. This brings our neice and nephew count to 11. Keep it up fruitful family.

The car won't start...again.

For the fourth time now (or that's how many times we can remember) the car has been towed to a nearby mechanic. Every time it has been an issue with the car starting. If you remember, only a month ago we had a new starter put in. Just before Christmas we got a new battery. So, we're guessing we need a new alternator. Joyous. Now we are seriously thinking about getting a new car (or a different used car). We would rather pay smaller monthly payments on a newer car than these rather expensive and random "payments". The thing that frustrates us the most is that the car gives us no warnings when it is going to die on us. It will be running great, then all of a sudden...nothing. Well, we'll have to see what the damage is this time.

Winter Ball (aka Dental School Prom)

On Friday, we went to the Winter Ball.
We were told that this was the must-attend event that the Medical College of Virginia hosts every year. And now that we've been we have to agree.

The Winter Ball is a formal Black Tie affair, requiring Cami to buy a dress (yes!) and Matt to find a black tie.

It took place at the only 5-star hotel in Virginia, The Jefferson Hotel in Richmond.
It was quite the bash.

There was lots of great food, multiple rooms with a live band, lots of security, and lots of alcohol. We were surprised the amount of excessive (in some cases VERY excessive) drinking and smoking considering the ball attendees consisted of medical, dental, and pharmacy students.
You'd think they know better.

All the LDS students enjoyed their fair share of drinks, though. Plenty of Shirlee Temples, Roy Rogers', non-alcoholic screwdrivers, and the old rum-free Rum and Coke. We are so wild. We decided to head out when people started to randomly vomit and fall down stairs. Getting on the road before the drunkards was pretty important. All-in-all we had a great time. We even drew an applause for our amazing dance skills (or lack there of) when Cami was accidently dropped on the floor while attempting some swing moves. We decided then and there that we definitely need more training before going back on the dance floor.

Happy Valentine's Ya'll!!

We hope everyone is having an awesome Valentine's Day. We kicked back, had a little of our favorite food (Quiznos), and waisted time watching TV. Darn mind-numbing cable.

Oh, and we got an orchid. Ain't it perrty!

Stay tuned for the rest of our Valentine's adventures coming up this weekend at the Winter Ball!

Super Bowl XLI

Our apologies to all 5 of our readers. We have not been very good at keeping you up-to-date with the latest of our adventures. It is thursday already and we still haven't told you about our Super Bowl party.

We hosted the First Annual Moderate Super Bowl Party on Super Bowl Sunday.
This party was not meant for hard-core football fans. On the invitations it said: Don't know who's playin'...don't matter!

We did not even know who was playing until we made the invitations.

There were six couples that came- two couples with children. This was the first time we had kids over. They were so cute. Matt was so excited to show off his toys.
The Millburn's
The Sherman's
The Gardner's

The Fife's
The Roberts'
The Williams'

Good food was eaten by all.

Multi-million dollar commercials were enjoyed.

Prizes were given to those who guessed closest to the final score.

Some teeth were a little discolored from a mishap with foodcoloring gel on sugar cookies.

Oh, and some football was watched too.

We had so much fun we might just have to do this again next year.
