Mini Sessions

While we were at the condo I was asked to do a couple photo sessions.

Aren’t these guys the coolest?!

June 02, 2012_5938e1

And I’m not sure Jaycee could get any more adorable!

June 02, 2012_5959e1

Baby Ray turned one so it seemed fitting that we take some pictures of the cute little guy.

Then I asked my talented sister-in-law (and fellow “family paparrazi”)to take our pictures. Thanks Jessica

Chapman Family Reunion (the last of it)

Day Six:

The Springs. Yes, there really are hot springs in Pagosa Springs. And they were WONDERFUL!

June 06, 2012_6903June 06, 2012_6905June 06, 2012_6906

This pool is called the "Lobster Pot." It was one of the hottest pools. I dipped my legs in it and that was enough for me. But these crazies decided to take it much further and went from the Lobster Pot (which was about 110*) straight to the river (which was around 45*). CRAZY!

June 06, 2012_6908June 06, 2012_6986

We were a bit hesitant at first and thought the springs were a bit pricey but ended up staying most of the day and totally loved every minute of it.

The kids loved this pool. It was perfect temperature, had a waterfall, and had the perfect overlook onto the river.

June 06, 2012_6925June 06, 2012_6926June 06, 2012_6930June 06, 2012_6932June 06, 2012_6942June 06, 2012_6944

Matt was trying to console Emma, but she wasn't having any of that. Sometimes all she wants is her Momma, lucky me. The thing I find funniest about the picture of Matt and Emma was the fact that Matt walked around with that blanket on his shoulders thinking it was a towel. We thought it was pretty funny.

June 06, 2012_6945June 06, 2012_6951June 06, 2012_6953June 06, 2012_6956June 06, 2012_6961

The big swimming pool was closed during the morning for routine cleaning. They opened it back up after lunch and we got to "swim" in it while it was filling back up. The kids loved that the water wasn't very high and they could splash around.

June 06, 2012_6998June 06, 2012_7005

Jason's such a good uncle.

June 06, 2012_6985June 06, 2012_7013June 06, 2012_7016

We came back to the condo for dinner and the kids got little zipper candy bags. Lily's candy was gone in about 2 minutes. We promptly sent them all outside to work off some of that sugar. And, yes, I let Lily go out in just a diaper. I hadn't given her a bath yet and didn't want her clothes stinking like the sulphur water of the hot springs. whatever.

June 06, 2012_7025June 06, 2012_7030

Jaycee loved playing with Emma.

June 06, 2012_6918

The last day:

Took a walk down to the lake before packing up and heading back to our busy lives.

June 07, 2012_8085June 07, 2012_8088June 07, 2012_8095June 07, 2012_8096June 07, 2012_8100June 07, 2012_8104

Tessa was trying so hard not to step in any geese poop.

Thanks, Fam for such an amazing vacation. We truly are blessed to have so many wonderful people to call our family.

Chapman Family Reunion (continued…)

Day Four:

Toltec Train from Chama, NM to Antonito, CO

June 04, 2012_6276June 04, 2012_6288June 04, 2012_6302June 04, 2012_6303

It was so SUPER fun! We were on the train all day and most of us expected the kids to all break down at some point in the trip. But they were all wonderful! I think it helped that we could move around on the train and not stay in our seats the whole time.

June 04, 2012_6304June 04, 2012_6305June 04, 2012_6310June 04, 2012_6317

The Conductor and our Tour Guide, Billy

June 04, 2012_6312June 04, 2012_6313

Sophie and Elise loved looking at the maps to figure out where we were.

June 04, 2012_6318June 04, 2012_6320June 04, 2012_6325June 04, 2012_6332June 04, 2012_6376June 04, 2012_6344

June 04, 2012_6351June 04, 2012_6370

We stopped in Osier for lunch.

June 04, 2012_6379June 04, 2012_6381

Then back on the train to continue on to Antonito.

June 04, 2012_6382June 04, 2012_6387

Most of the passengers that were with us on the first leg got onto a different train to head back to Chama. But we stayed on the same train and went another 3 hours to Antonito. It was SO nice having most of the train car to ourselves. The kids were able to spread out and take naps.

June 04, 2012_6389June 04, 2012_6399June 04, 2012_6403unedited-2June 04, 2012_6409June 04, 2012_6411June 04, 2012_6415June 04, 2012_6423June 04, 2012_6458June 04, 2012_6469June 04, 2012_6473

Lily decided she was too awesome to take a nap when all the other kidlets were sleeping and zonked out about 20 minutes before we ended our trip on the train.

June 04, 2012_6496June 04, 2012_6504

All the grandkids in Antonito in their matching clothes.

June 04, 2012_6514

We rode a bus for about an hour back to Chama and had dinner at the High Country Restaurant.

June 04, 2012_6527June 04, 2012_6528

The day ended with the kids getting their very own trains in their buckets.

June 04, 2012_6530June 04, 2012_6544

Day Five:

Hot air balloons took off every morning right by our condo.

June 05, 2012_6619

Almost every morning, the guys went disc golfing up the side of the nearby mountain. Seriously, they hiked the mountainside throwing discs around.

June 05, 2012_6622

We took a hike up to Treasure Falls.

June 05, 2012_6738June 05, 2012_6632June 05, 2012_6634June 05, 2012_6635June 05, 2012_6650June 05, 2012_6640June 05, 2012_6649June 05, 2012_6660June 05, 2012_6670June 05, 2012_6681June 05, 2012_6698June 05, 2012_6705

The Whole Gang (minus Brian who had to work from the condo). What a good looking bunch.

June 05, 2012_6721June 05, 2012_6728June 05, 2012_6730June 05, 2012_6732

Looking back to the back seat and seeing this made my heart melt. She sure does love her baby sister.

June 05, 2012_6739

After the hike we went to a little museum where they had all kinds of little trinkets and facts about lots of old stuff.

June 05, 2012_6742

The kids mostly liked playing in the parking lot.

June 05, 2012_6748June 05, 2012_6760June 05, 2012_6764June 05, 2012_6761

During nap time the adults took turns doing a little shopping in town. Lots of cute little stores and antique shops.

June 05, 2012_6766

Later that evening we hit up the mini golf.

June 05, 2012_6769June 05, 2012_6772

June 05, 2012_6775June 05, 2012_6778June 05, 2012_6781June 05, 2012_6786

And made it about two holes before the littles were done and wanted to play on the playground.

June 05, 2012_6807June 05, 2012_6811June 05, 2012_6829June 05, 2012_6821

The two oldest grandkids, Elise and Sophie (mostly Sophie), stuck it out all the way to the end.

June 05, 2012_6845

But these ones were way more interested in running around, climbing everything, and trying out the swings.

June 05, 2012_6851June 05, 2012_6856June 05, 2012_6848June 05, 2012_6860June 05, 2012_6865

Jaycee’s first time on the big kid swings. Way to go Big Girl!
