Chapman Family Reunion

The Chapman clan gathered in Pagosa Springs, CO for the first week of June.

Day One:

Driving.

It has kind of turned into a tradition that every time we go on a road trip we stop at 7-11 for slurpees and snacks. This kid has got it so much better than I did at her age! Movies. slurpees. snacks. What more could you need?

Getting settled into our condo. Our setup was pretty cool. We had four condos reserved that were all next to each other, and each pair was connected so you could go from one to the next. And each set of 4 condos had their own hot tub. Pretty cool.

Emma was feeling a little overwhelmed by all the people around. But by the end of our trip she was all smiles. Promise.

Day Two:

Snackin’ it up! We had enough snacks and drinks to last us weeks!

Grandma Nina had a bucket for each grandchild and sometime during the day they would get something fun in their buckets. They LOVED when she said it was time to look in their buckets. The first night they got bunnies.

Day Three:

Church – The little branch we went to was so excited to see us. Pretty sure we doubled their Primary that day.

After Church, the kids got bubbles in their buckets! And Grandma had a bubble machine to add to the fun.

One, not-so-good thing about this vacation was the girls’ sleep schedules. The days were so busy so they didn’t get very good naps. You’d think that they’d be so worn out at the end of the day that they’d just fall right asleep. But no. Both girls would scream for over an hour sometimes two. One would start calming down and the other would start back up again. It was quite delightful, let me tell ya. I ended up nursing Emma to sleep every night and playing lullabies on the kindle for Lily. But we made it through, and by the last two nights they were doing much better.
