Lily went through a phase (about a two week phase) where she didn’t want anything to do with her big girl bed. She opted to sleep on my nursing pillow on the floor for naps and bedtime. Sometimes that girl does the strangest things.
We started getting Lily used to the potty. Not seriously, just a few times a week. She thought she was so big.
Emma decided bottles weren’t all that terrible. This picture was taken just before our trip to Utah. She has great timing.
While eating out, Lily tried to eat her corndog with a knife.
We love this bakery. Lily loves their “chocolate piggies” (a chocolate shortbread cookie)
We love bike rides.
Especially now that we got a trailer for Emma to ride in.
One of our favorite bike ride destinations – the candy shop.
The Children’s Museum
Catching butterflies
There weren’t many to find in our backyard. Hopefully next spring she’ll have better luck.
She decided to catch her sister instead, much easier target :)
I got my first ever set of fine china. It was purchased at a local antique shop where one of Matt’s patients works. It’s fun feeling a little more grown up, even though I’m too afraid to use it for fear of something breaking.
So there it sits in our built-in hutch where I pass by every so often and sneak a peek at my beautiful china.
This girl also decided she doesn’t hate binkies. In fact, she quite likes them.
Just checking her emails.
Lots of time in the backyard with the sprinklers.
Watching her sister
We were blessed with a house with beautiful gardens and a cute little yellow playhouse for the girls. It needs a little TLC but Lily loves spending time in it and making “cakes” out of flower petals.
She also loves to set up parties with her lawn chairs.
We went to City Park for some time on the swings. Emma was LOVING it!
These girls sure do love their Daddy.
