Day Six:
The Springs. Yes, there really are hot springs in Pagosa Springs. And they were WONDERFUL!
This pool is called the "Lobster Pot." It was one of the hottest pools. I dipped my legs in it and that was enough for me. But these crazies decided to take it much further and went from the Lobster Pot (which was about 110*) straight to the river (which was around 45*). CRAZY!
We were a bit hesitant at first and thought the springs were a bit pricey but ended up staying most of the day and totally loved every minute of it.
The kids loved this pool. It was perfect temperature, had a waterfall, and had the perfect overlook onto the river.
Matt was trying to console Emma, but she wasn't having any of that. Sometimes all she wants is her Momma, lucky me. The thing I find funniest about the picture of Matt and Emma was the fact that Matt walked around with that blanket on his shoulders thinking it was a towel. We thought it was pretty funny.
The big swimming pool was closed during the morning for routine cleaning. They opened it back up after lunch and we got to "swim" in it while it was filling back up. The kids loved that the water wasn't very high and they could splash around.
Jason's such a good uncle.
We came back to the condo for dinner and the kids got little zipper candy bags. Lily's candy was gone in about 2 minutes. We promptly sent them all outside to work off some of that sugar. And, yes, I let Lily go out in just a diaper. I hadn't given her a bath yet and didn't want her clothes stinking like the sulphur water of the hot springs. whatever.
Jaycee loved playing with Emma.
The last day:
Took a walk down to the lake before packing up and heading back to our busy lives.
Tessa was trying so hard not to step in any geese poop.
Thanks, Fam for such an amazing vacation. We truly are blessed to have so many wonderful people to call our family.
