Later in July, Jason, Candice and Jaycee came to visit us. And Daniel and Jessica came to visit us too. We LOVE having people come to stay with us!
Milk Buddies. Lily sure does love her cousin Tessa.
Reading books with Aunt Jessica.
Popsicles in the backyard. Babies with cold popsicles are hilarious!
The girls spent lots of time on the monkey bars.
The next day we went to the mall so Dan and Jessica could go shopping for his birthday while the rest of us hung out at the children’s play area. We lucked out and stumbled upon the Kid’s Day at JCPenney’s. They had carnival games, face painting, a balloon man (with his adorable little bunny), and snow cones. This kids had a great time! Here’s Lily with her blue monkey in a tree.
And the flower painted on her cheek.
Sophie got her face painted like a tiger.
Tessa was a cat (I think)
We let Dan choose where to have dinner. He chose Bingo Burger, one of our favorite burger places. In the summer they have live bands play in the evenings and have chalk for the kids to draw with.
Nice work Jaycee. She loved wearing Lily’s star necklaces and always had to have at least one on at all times.
A tribute to Dan
Love this girl!
The birthday boy
First time in a high chair – such a big girl!
This little guy’s first birthday was a few days later.
These girls have so much fun when they’re together.
We celebrated Dan’s birthday with a very yummy ice cream cake that Jessica made.
She insisted on sleeping with one of the balloon animals at nap time the next day.
Jason found another little monkey
After church, Matt took Jason and Candice on a tour of the city and I stayed home with the girls.
Silly Jaycee (with a necklace on, of course)
Blahh
Looking for bugs
Goldfish Buddies
The next day we went to the zoo. Jason and Candice brought this wagon. The girls were loving it.
Penguins!
Checking out the bunnies
Did I mention that I love this girl?
Before they left town, we took them to Sunset Bar.
The girls were acting loony. It was quite comical!
Unfortunately we didn’t make it to the kiddie rides while they were here. Next summer, if you come back, we’ll go every night if you want to guys! Promise.
