We went along the edges of all our sidewalks and cut away tons of dirt and grass. It looked so much better when we were all finished.
Emma helped me with dinner one night. The San Francisco treat!
Lily moved into a big girl bed! She was so excited!! She always wants to show everyone her big girl bed when they come into her room.
It went pretty good for a few days and then she figured out that she could get out of her bed. After about the 15th time of being out of her bed, we threatened that we’d have to put her mattress back into the crib and she wouldn’t sleep in the big girl bed. Well, she came out. So, being the good, consistent dad that Matt is, he put the mattress back in the crib. Lily was going berserk! He put her in the crib and left the room. She was screaming harder than I have ever heard her before. Then she was crying and saying, “Mommy, peas hep out!” She started screaming again and then we heard a thud. She climbed out of her bed for the first time and we still don’t know exactly how she did it. Seeing that that threat wasn’t going to work anymore, we put her back in her big girl bed and hoped for the best.
Most nights she has a hard time staying in her bed and has to be shooed back at least 5 times. I’m hoping it gets better with time.

The “snow white kitchen” was her favorite part. It was really cute with all the dwarve’s little clothes hanging up on a clothesline. She loved making cookies for us and washing all the socks.
She obviously has not seen me iron much (probably never, since I rarely iron our clothes!)

The princess was a bit tired from all the fun and was zoning out.
Bananas. This girl loves pretty much anything I put in front of her. It’s so nice having a good eater around.
One of our first indoor projects was to reinforce the banister that goes down from our kitchen to the sunroom and down to the basement. The original posts were about 14 inches apart, definitely not safe with little ones around. So Matt used his handy-man skills and added iron posts in between all the original posts.
He did such a good job and now I don’t have to worry about any little people falling down.
Lily’s imagination is really starting to come out. She was feeding all her toys some fruit. Even Thomas the train needs a snack sometimes :)
This lovely contraption was her fishing pole. Matt is determined to show her some real fishing as soon as it warms up again. And she went through a phase (after seeing her cousins doing the same thing) where she wanted to wear one of my t-shirts to bed.
We’ve had some little surprises outside our house, like this little bat and a black widow spider. Hopefully there won’t be many more of those. yuck!

They're getting so big! Can Lily open doors yet? That's what kept our kids in their rooms. Matt is also quiet the handy matty! :)
So fun seeing pictures of your HOME and so exciting to see you in a house after all those years in an apartment and the many moves. That children's museum looks awesome. We miss you tons!
