Our Little Bunny

April 23, 2011_5271April 23, 2011_5277

Easter was a blast this year. Lily is very into filling (and emptying) any type of container so she was totally digging the whole eggs-in-the-basket thing. We were invited to be a part Daniel and Jessica’s neighborhood egg hunt. While we were waiting for everyone to come Lily was practicing her basket filling with sticks (her favorite outdoor toy) and this park was like stick heaven for Lily.

She was pleased as punch with her two eggs! For the first little while, she had one egg in her basket and another in her hand, totally content to watch all the other kids running around like crazy filling their baskets to the brim. Sophie’s basket was overflowing and was disappointed when she had to take some out for the slower kids (like Lily).April 23, 2011_5289April 23, 2011_5292

She spilled her basket probably six or seven times. Each time, all the surrounding kids would race over and watch excitedly hoping she would miss some.April 23, 2011_5309April 23, 2011_5311April 23, 2011_5317April 23, 2011_5327April 23, 2011_5324

For lunch, we went to Village Inn and had some very yummy food. Then it was back to Daniel and Jessica’s to watch the girls while they went to the Temple. Since they were going to be gone a while we took the kids to Chuck E. Cheese’s for an  early dinner. Which they LOVED!

Lily loved riding the cars and the horse, and running off any chance she got. This girl doesn’t have much fear of getting lost yet, which scares me. Luckily, we were in a closed area and she had a sticker with our group number on it so I wasn’t super worried.

Sophie loved riding the horse (like 30 times!) and playing games to get tickets. She and Matt got quite the stash!

And Tessa loved the climbing area. She needed some help from some other kids to actually get to the top, but once she was there we didn’t see her again for quite a while.

Easter Morning

The Easter Bunny visited us and Lily was spoiled with bubbles, books, and toys.

On a side note – about a week earlier, Lily took a spill down the hill in our front yard and scratched her nose on the sidewalk. I felt so terrible. We were about to go on a bike ride and I had brought the bike down the hill and she was just following me not realizing the ground wasn’t level in front of her. I was on the other side of the bike and couldn’t get to her in time. She’s more leery of hills and stairs now though.

Playing with bubbles before dinner.

We had a very yummy dinner at the Lawrence’s. Hope you were able to have a wonderful Easter and remembered the resurrection of our dear Savior.
