Paddle Boating

A few weeks ago we went paddle boating on a lake in Davis and Linda's community. We set our with our lovely life vests. Matt and I were in one boat while Davis, Linda, and Brian piled into the other. Throughout the course of the hour, the configeration of people in boats changed multiple times. By the end it was the two girls in one boat and the three guys in the other. It was quite the scene. It was so fun to feed all the ducks and geese. They loved our hot dog buns. When the buns were gone Matt got creative and started throwing our chips at them, which they gobbled up eagerly. At one point we had a line of ducks behind our boat while Matt paddled and I threw the bread. It was pretty awesome. Paddle boats were a lot harder than we expected. We got tired really quickly trying to paddle against the wind and waves. It's kind of sad but we never made it very far from the docks.

With the bread (and chips) gone the boys decided to take a dip in the water. The girls just watched and laughed as they tried to climb back onto the tipsy boat.

We walked back to their house and tried to dry off before heading back to the lake for a BBQ dinner. Kimberly came after work and Brian and Brittany Richman came to join us for hamburgers and hot dogs and all the regular BBQ fixin's. And then of course we had to feed the duck some more before we left. The best was a big white duck that wagged its tail everytime it ate a piece of bread. It was pretty funny.

We finished off the night with games at Davis and Linda's.

I just discovered it myself. It's pretty cool- but it takes a long time to put all the pictures in.
