Our ward had their own Olympics on Labor Day. It was a lot of fun. The activities committee did a really good job putting it all together. They even had a medals ceremony complete with someone humming the Olympics theme song. The morning started out with a yummy breakfast of pancakes, scrambles, and fruit. Once everyone was full, the games began. Neither of us competed in any of the events...someone had to take pictures :)
The kids competed in several 50m dashes - skip, wiggle walk, gallop. They also did a sponge relay. I didn't get any pictures of their relay but I'm sure it
was probably so fun to watch them all get wet. The adults had shotput, long jump, and javelin. I think the javelin was probably the hardest event. They didn't know where their "javelin" would go. They also did a prego 50m dash. We even l
earned about some we didn't even know were pregnant yet :) The next event was the piggyback dash. The funniest was the guys giving each other piggybacks. We were laughing so hard.

The last was the relay. The first person had to spin around with the "baton" and then run to the next person who put on some swimwear and hoola hooped to the next player who went over and under the swim
noodles to the third person. They dribbled the
soccer ball around the cones to the last person who (for the artistic points) did a small creative dance routine with a ribbon to the finish line. It took a long time to get through all the teams, but it was a lot of fun to see all the creative moves.

I love the picture of you and Matt!
What a fun activity! Innsbrook has so many little kids! seeing the picture of them all running reminded me of when we were in the nursery in Innsbrook!
