The Polar Express
We started a new tradition this year. We printed out some “tickets” for the girls and placed them on their pillows. We got the girls ready for bed and when they got to their beds they saw the tickets. Then we all pile into the car where there is hot chocolate and snacks and drive around town looking at Christmas lights. The girls (mostly Lily) LOVED it!

A new Christmas story.
Every year we get a new book from Grandma and Grandpa Burk and read it together on Christmas Eve. It’s one of my favorite traditions.
We got a portable potty-seat too. It fits on top of a 5-gallon bucket. Matt is thoroughly thrilled!
It’s hard to be away from family this time of year. But I’m so glad we have the technology to make the distance a little shorter.
We were lucky enough to have our friend Aaron come and spend Christmas with us while the rest of his family left town for a funeral.
Santa was very good to us this year. ![]()

A baby of her own. Hopefully this will curb any fights over babies in the near future.

Enjoying the spoils of the day…
We ended the night by having one of the families in our ward over for dinner and video games.
