New Bedroom!

We have finally started decorating our bedroom. Matt had a week break and whenever he has a break from school we (er, I mean Matt) always seem to be painting. He painted the walls a sage green. We had to go back to Lowe's a few times before we got the color right.

Last Friday Cami got off work early and we drove up to Ikea for some much needed storage cabinets. We realized that if we had all of our clothes clean, we couldn't put them all away. There would still be a pile of clean clothes with no where to go. Matt was on the Ikea website for a few days, taking measurements, getting all kinds of grand ideas. Before we left Ikea, we had managed to FILL two carts. Apparently, Matt had a few more things on his list than I had anticipated.

(just in case you needed a reminder of what our bedroom looked like before)

The storage cabinets are huge! We need a ladder to get to the top shelves. I guess we can't complain about not having anywhere to put something.

Ikea things- storage cabinets, lights (Matt loves small spotlights!), table lamp, tulip photo on canvas, stool (Cami painted it with the extra wall paint).

We "adopted" a good idea from Corey and Jill. They gave us the idea of displaying all our pictures on magnetic dry erase boards. The photos are actually 8x10's. So now you can see how big the dry erase boards are. I guess we like big things.

These "plates" we found at Bed, Bath and Beyond. They're actually candle holders.

We recently bought an Origami book. Now Matt's creations have a proper display.

The bedroom looks SO much better. We go in there a lot more than we used to. And we can actually keep it clean enough to leave the door open when we have guests! That is definitely an improvement.

Holy crap! Those storage cabinets are huge. I could probably keep my wife in there. Your bedroom looks really nice. Good job!
