We started our 2.5 day journey with happy faces and tons of car activities for the girls. I scoured the internet and multiple local stores trying to find fun things for the girls to do on the trip.
We left right after Matt got off work and drove what was supposed to be about a 5-6 hour drive to Grand Junction. We hit snow on I-70 and ended up stuck right outside of Vail on a closed freeway for almost 2 hours. It seems like every time we try to drive on I-70 in the winter we get stuck in snow! We finally made it to Grand Junction that night just after 10pm.
The next day we drove another 5.5 hrs to St George to meet up with Jason, Candice, Jaycee, and Kaylee for some fun at the new Children’s Museum there. It was really cute – and FREE! Can’t beat that! Even though we did make a generous donation. The girls had tons of fun in all the different rooms. I think the farm was probably their favorite.

The cutest little mail carriers!
Flying in an airplane.
You know, just fixing the car…
Jaycee definitely know her way with the power tools ;) Of course, that’s used for the windows!
Doing a little shopping
And then checking herself out when the cashier suddenly left.
Forgot some things the first time around.
Ringing the bell.
Bubbles!!
Silly Kids!
Lily was very serious about turning that handle. She was in charge of making sure those bucket went around the track and dumped their “water.” It’s important work!
The castle – fit for a princess! And a dragon with crooked teeth :)
That evening we drove the rest of the way to Mesquite where we stayed in a friend’s house.
