As of June 21st. Of course, everything looks bigger now, but I’m not that fast at editing my pictures.
We have loved having a garden and, even though we grumble about having to pick weeds everyday, we love seeing all of our plants growing.
Sadly, we only got a handful of strawberries and haven’t seen anything new for weeks. We are finding out we don’t have the best yard for a garden. There’s way too much shade, which would be wonderful if we didn’t care about trying to get our plants to grow. A few hours of sunlight a day just isn’t going to cut it. Oh well, we’re going to give it our best effort.
We’ve done popcorn in the past, in Matt’s parent’s garden, and loved it. The ears are about 3-4 inches and a dark red color. The popcorn has a nuttier flavor and is so good with just salt on it. No butter needed on these kernels.
My little herb garden
And just for memory’s sake, here’s the rest of our yard and flower beds. We are so proud of how it has turned out. And it keeps getting better with every week as new blooms start blossoming.
