A Day in the City

We’ve been trying to take advantage of some of the events going on in Richmond. There are tons of things to do here in the summer! A few weeks ago we went to the 17th Street Farmers Market. They were having their Tomato Festival. We’re not huge fans of tomatoes but it was still fun. We enjoyed seeing really big dogs, sharing a gyro, and listening to the great live music.

Matt was trying to decide whether or not to buy a huge melon. We didn’t end up buying it because our car was parked pretty far away.

How do you patch up a hole in a cobblestone street? With asphalt, of course! Economical, but not very pretty.Jul112009_0022

That night we enjoyed a great British comedy performed at an outdoor amphitheater with Brian and Kimberly. The community theaters put shows on for free. And we’re excited to be back there this weekend to see our good friend Haley perform. You can’t beat FREE entertainment!
